Linda L. Irvin, 45 of Sioux City died unexpectedly Saturday, September 24, 1994, at a Sioux City, hospital.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel with the Rev. Karen Groe-Dearchs of Hornick United Methodist Church officiating. The body will be cremated. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Mrs. Irvin was born on August 3, 1949, in Mason City, Iowa, the daughter of John and Alice {Westendorf} Okland. She attended St. Ansgar, Iowa schools. She married Kenneth Irvin Oct. 18, 1991, in Elk Point, S.D. She was a seamstress for Hovaland Manufacturing Co. for several years until the company closed. She was currently a student at Western Iowa Tech Community College.

Survivors include her husband; a son and his wife, Eric and Ingrid Beyer of Havre, Mont.; her mother, Alice Nack of Albert Lea, Minnesota; five brothers: Dick and his wife Kim Okland of Des Moines, Iowa; Ron and his wife Carolyn Okland of Great Falls, Montana; Virgil Okland of Denver Colorado; Bob and his wife Juanita Okland of Lake Mills, Iowa; and Donny and his wife Pat Okland of Fort Collins, Colorado; three sisters and their husbands: Pat and Mike Levison, and Marlyn and Ralph Olson, all of Albert Lea, Minnesota; and karen and Duane Abrahams of Bolon, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, John; her stepfather, Wilmer, and her twin brother, Michael.

A memorial has been established in her memory.

Linda Louise (nee Okland)(Beyer) IRVIN 1949-1994

Linda Irvin, formerly of St. Ansgar, Iowa, died on September 24, 1994. She had been living in Albert Lea, Minnesota. Her remains were buried next to her brother, Michael L. Okland, in the South Shellrock Cemetery, Northwood, Worth county, Iowa.

Linda was born on August 3, 1949, the daughter of John M. Okland and Alice A. (Westendorf) Okland. John was born in 1909, and died of a heart attack on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 23, 1950.

Alice was born on January 28, 1912 in Buffalo Center, Iowa, and died January 11, 2007 in Albert Lea, Minnesota. After John died, Alice had married Wilmer Nack.

On June 13, 1966, at the age of 16, she married Ronnie Dean Beyer of St. Ansgar, Iowa. He is the son of Albert and Lois (Wilde) Beyer. This marriage later ended in divorce, but the union resulted in the birth of Eric Adam Beyer on October 28, 1970.

Linda later married a man with the surname of Irvin.

Linda had attended St. Ansgar schools. The photo below is her 8th grade photo from the 1963 St. Ansgar School Annual.
