MARRIED IN OSAGE TO SUSANNE BIRDSALL

Corliss C. Baty, 64, of Maquoketa, died December 6, 2009 at the Jackson County Regional Health Center in Maquoketa. A Celebration of his Life will be held at the Maquoketa Eagles Club on Saturday, December 12, 2009 from 1-3 p.m. Cremation Society of Eastern Central Western Iowa is assisting the family.

Corliss was known for his kind heart and his sense of justice. He took great pleasure in his friends and family. He'll be remembered for his dry wit. Under his tough exterior resided a heart of gold.

Corliss Cecil Baty was born on November 7, 1945. He married Susanne Claire Birdsall on March 1, 1969 in Osage, IA.

He is survived by his father, Jackson N. Baty, his two daughters, Emily Baty and Erin (Solomon) Miller, his sister, Jean (Sean) Baty Young, many extended family members and dear, dear friends.

Corliss was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette Baty and his wife, Susanne Baty.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Eagles Auxiliary for their causes. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.iowacremation.com.
