Buried at St. AnsgarCARPENTER, IOWA - Mrs. Albert DeMaris, 45 died on Wednesday October 22, [1957] at Memorial Hospital at Osage following a long illness. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Methodist Church in St. Ansgar with the Reverend Richard Pearson, Pastor in charge.
Roger Campbell of Otranto was vocalist, with Miss Clara Moe at the organ. Casket bearers were Albert Miller, Harold Brown, Leonard Larson, Curtis Taylor, Fred Fischer and Roy Gordon. Mrs. Frank Sheumaker and Mrs. Curtis Taylor were in charge of the flowers and burial was in the St. Ansgar Cemetery.
Elna M. Finch was born March 31, 1912, in Meltonville, the daughter of Frank Melvin** Finch and Alice Pike Finch. She was baptized at Christ Church, Austin, June 21, 1915. She was married to Albert DeMaris October 28, 1933 at the Methodist Church in Mason City. Two this union two children were born, Wayne of Carpenter and Carole of Parkersburg.
Proceding her in death were her father, who died in August 1952.
Besides her husband and children she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Alice Finch of Carpenter; two sisters, Mrs. Archie [Iva] Gordon and Mrs. Hal [Florence] Scheumaker of Worth County and two brothers, Earl of Denver and Russell of Carpenter.
