Funeral Held September 1

Funeral services for Minnie C. Duenow, 88, who died in Austin, Minn., Sunday, August 29, [1982] were held Wednesday, September 1 at St. Olaf Lutheran church, Austin, with the Rev. John Halvorson officiating.

Minnie C. Duenow was born October 19, 1893 in St. Ansgar township, Mitchell county, the daughter of Charles H. and Ottilie (Borchardt) Duenow. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter Lutheran church, Toeterville. She received her education in Mitchell county schools and later graduated from Iowa State Teachers College, Cedar Falls. She taught school in a number of Iowa schools, the last being in the public school system in Fort Dodge, where she taught for many years.

Miss Duenow is survived by one sister, Mrs. L.B. Stevenson of Green Valley, Arizona; a sister-in-law, Mary Duenow of Austin, Minn. and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Robert, Max, Carl and Lawrence.

Burial was in St. Peter Lutheran cemetery, Toeterville, with Rev. Halvorson in charge of committal services.
