Funeral services for Monroe H. Bullis, 76, of St. Ansgar, who died Sunday, February 13, 1972, will be held Thursday, February 17 at 2 p.m. at First Lutheran church here with the Rev. Don Comnick officiating.

Monroe H. Bullis was born December 24, 1895 in Kenyon, Minn., the son of Herbert and Wilhelmena (Kramer) Bullis. He was united in marriage to Clara Keith February 13, 1917. Four children were born to them.

Before moving to St. Ansgar, the Bullis family lived in Nashua where Mr. Bullis was a buttermaker for many years. In 1932 the family moved to St. Ansgar where he took over the local creamery from his father. He served in this capacity until 1946, devoting 34 years to the creamery business.

Mr. Bullis is survived by his four children; Thurlow of Waterloo; Maybeth Bullis Raeburn of West Allis, Wis.; Vallejo of Osage; Reginald of La Porte City and eight grandchildren; a nephew, Herbert Bullis of Beloit, Wis.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara; one brother, Hugh; a sister, Wilma.

Burial will be in the First Lutheran cemetery with Rev. D. Comnick in charge of the committal services.
