Mrs. Thorson Dead At 90

Thirteen years of declining health resulted in the death Saturday morning for Mrs. Ingebjor Thorson, age 90, at her home northwest of St. Ansgar. She was the oldest member of the First Lutheran Church of this city. Funeral services were conducted from this church Tuesday afternoon with Reverend O. A. Langhough in charge.

Ingebjor Blakkestad, daughter of Ole and Barbo Blakkestad was born in Gol. Hallingdal, Norway, June 10, 1846. She was baptized and confirmed in the old Stave Church in Gol.

In 1870 he in company with a group of relatives came to America and made her home in Allamakee County, Iowa

January 6, 1976 she married Knud Thorson of St. Ansgar and to them seven children were bornn, five of whom survive. They are Helen, Mrs. Barbara Ellingson, Henry, Clara and Blanche. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and one brother living in Norway.

Shortly after their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Thorson made their home on the farm two and one-half miles northwest of St. Ansgar. It was on this farm that Mr. Thorson died, March 8, 1929 and after his death Mrs. Thorson continued to live on the home place, being cared for by her children.
