Margaret E. Barrick

Margaret E. Barrick, age 85, of Osage, died Sunday, October 25, 2009, at the Faith Lutheran Home in Osage. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage, with Rev. Robert Dodge officiating. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery. Visitation is from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.

Margaret was born October 12, 1924, in Jones, Oklahoma, the daughter of Gerald and Margaret (Reese) Mobley. Margaret was united in marriage to Robert R. Barrick at the Methodist Church in Jones, Oklahoma. They lived in Oklahoma and Texas before moving to Osage in 1953. Margaret graduated from Oklahoma A&M with a degree in fashion design. She was very active in scouting. Margaret had a passion for her family, sewing and her Boston Terriers.

Margaret is survived by five children, Robert Barrick, Jr. of Kalona, Janet (Michael) Lockie of Austin, Minnesota, Neil (Laurie) Barrick of Johnston, Marilyn Boyd and friend Roger DeGolier of Leland, Reese Barrick of Hays, Kansas; eight grandchildren, Katie Lockie, Jeremiah (Megan) Lockie, Daniel Lockie, Micah Lockie, Courtney (John) Quinn, Andrew Barrick, Kezia Boyd and Mahalia Barrick; three great-grandchildren, Aliyah Lockie, Alexis Forsberg and Abbey Quinn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Robert Barrick in 2007; her parents; and three brothers.
