Funeral services for Mrs. Julia Anderson, 76, who died at the home of her daughter in Carpenter last Thursday, October 11, were held Monday, October 15, 1956, at the Deer Creek Lutheran church with the Rev. Oscar Mikkelson of Northwood officiating.
Mrs. Anderson was born May 23, 1880 in Worth county, the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Schudar. She was baptized in infancy at Stacyville.
On November 12, 1897, she was married to Herman Anderson. This union was blessed with eight children. The Andersons lived in Worth and Mitchell counties most of their lives. Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her husband and three sons.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. William Hanna of St. Ansgar; Mrs. Olaf Anderson of Carpenter and Mrs. R. Martinson of San Francisco, Calif.; two sons, Andrew of Minneapolis and Verne of St. Louis, Missouri; also two sisters, Mrs. Martha Schmidt of Carpenter and Mrs. Bertha Johnson of Rochester; one brother, Ralph Schudar of Bobells, North Dakota; 15 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Mrs. Anderson became ill last April and spent a month in hospitals in Osage and Rochester. Following this she was care for at the home of her daughter in Carpenter where she passed away quietly last Thursday evening.
Burial was in the First Lutheran cemetery here with Rev. Mikkelson in charge of the committal servies.
