For Mrs. Elvina Brown
At Deer Creek Lutheran ChurchFuneral services for Mrs. Elvina Brown, 98, of Carpenter, who died Friday, October 16, (1987) at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center, were held Tuesday, October 20 at the Deer Creek Lutheran Church, Carpenter, with the Reverend E.C. Franke officiating.
Mrs. Brown was born west of Carpenter, August 17, 1889, to Thoston and Emma Anderson Dahl.
She married Herman F. Brown February 23, 1910 at the home of her parents. Shortly after their marriage they moved to northern Minnesota and later back to Worth County. They retired and moved to Carpenter in 1970. They were parents of five children.
Elvina was a lifelong member of the Deer Creek Lutheran Church.
Survivors are a son, Calvin Brown of Grafton; a daughter, Rene Wilder of Xenia, Ohio; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Herman; eight brothers; two sisters; a son, Harold; two daughters, Verna Reynolds and Hazel D’Errico; one grandson; one great-grandson; and one great-granddaughter.
Burial was in Deer Creek Lutheran Cemetery.
