Aged Resident Dies at Home in St. Ansgar

St. Ansgar, Iowa — Funeral services were to be held Saturday afternoon at the Methodist church for Mrs. Wilhelmina Bernstein, 71, who died Wednesday at a Mason City hospital following two major operations. The Rev. Milton Nothdwilt will officiate.

Born in Germany, she had been a resident of St. Ansgar and vicinity for many years.

Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Fred Norskow, Sabula.

Burial was to be in the East cemetery, St. Ansgar.

ST. ANSGAR WOMAN
DIES AFTER SURGERY

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Methodist church in St. Ansgar for Mrs. Wilhelmin Bernstein, 71, who died Wednesday at Mercy hospital in Masn City following two major operations.

Wilhelmin Koten was born in Germany and came at the age of 15 to the United States with her parents, Christian and Maria Koten. The family first settled in Wisconsin, and later came to Iowa. Mrs. Bernstein had been a resident of St. Ansgar and vicinity for 53 years.

Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Fred Norskow, of Sabula.

Burial was in East Cemetery in St. Ansgar.
