Prominent Farmer of
Near St. Ansgar Dies

ST. ANSGAR, IOWA — Dec. 10, 1927 — Gus Erdman, a prominent farmer, residing southwest from St. Ansgar, died Friday morning after an illness of 10 days. He was 68 years of age.

He is survived by his widow, one son and three daughters.

During the past few months he had been in falling health and on the advise of his physician had decided to give up farming and move to St. Ansgar. Not being able to find a place for sale that suited him, he awarded a contract for the erection of a modern home to a local contractor. The building is inclosed and will be completed in the spring.
