Funeral services for Lillian Alvina Robertson Johnson, 79, who died Tuesday, June 1, will be held Friday, June 4 at Deer Creek Lutheran Church, Carpenter, with Rev. E. C. Franke officiating.
Lillian Alvina Robertson Johnson was born June 15, 1913 in Otranto Township, Mitchell County, Iowa to Nels P. Robertson and Helena Hanson Robertson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith at Mona. She was a member of the Deer Creek Lutheran Church, Carpenter.
Lillian attended grade school in Union Township and graduated from high school in Otranto.
She married Emil J. Johnson August 17, 1938 in Osage. Five children were born to this union.
Lillian loved music. She played the accordion in a dance band with her brothers, Martin and Clifford for many years. She loved her flower gardens and was a good neighbor and friend.
Lillian is survived by her husband, Emil; one son, Dean of Scottsdale, Arizona; two daughters, Mrs. John (Sharon) Goplerud of Park Rapids, Minnesota and Mrs. Terry (Marcia) Leidall, St. Ansgar; one sister, Esther Daub of Dazey, North Dakota; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, one sister and three brothers.
Burial will be in the First Lutheran Cemetery, St. Ansgar.
