Last Rites Held For Mark N. Robertson, 84

Funeral services for Mark Robertson 84, of St. Ansgar who died Monday, March 2, [1953] after a lengthy illness, were held March 4, at First Lutheran Church with the Reverend Langehough officiating.

Mark N. Robertson, son of Niels and Rasmine [Nielson] Robertson, was born in Lindelee Langeland, Denmark February 10, 1869. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church.

With is parents, brothers and sisters he migrated to America in 1887. He settled in Worth county then moved to Mitchell county and settled on a farm near St. Ansgar.

He was united in marriage to Emma Johnson of Bolen [SIC], May 1887. At the time of his death they were living in an apartment in the Klindt Hotel.

Mr. Robertson was an active trustee of the First Lutheran Church here for many years. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Charles Kraft of Mason City, Mrs. Arthur Peterson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; also three grandchildren, Alan Dodge of Anchorage, Alaska; five great grandchildren; also one brother, Nels Robertson of Lyle, two sisters, Mrs. Laura Larson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Mrs. Hannah Wambeam of Austin. He was preceded in death by one son, Hjalmar Robertson, in 1937 and by three brothers and two sisters.

Burial was in the First Lutheran Cemetery with Reverend Langehough in charge of the committal services.
