Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 25, 1988 at Champion Funeral Home in Osage for Art Warrington, 72, of Osage. He died Monday, February 22, 1988 at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital in Osage. The Reverend Jerry Newland of the First Baptist Church in Osage will officiate at the 2 P.M. service. Burial will be in the Buster Cemetery, Jefferson County, Kansas at 2 P.M. Friday, February 26, 1988.

Visitation will be after 4 P.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

He was born July 21, 1915 in Williamstown, Kansas to Benjamin and Kate (Rumbough) Warrington. He attended rural schools in Jefferson County, Kansas and graduated from Oskaloosa High School, Kansas.

He came to Iowa in 1936 and worked on various farms. In 1943 he joined the Army Air Force and served in India during World War II. He returned to Iowa in 1946 and was employed by Oliver Corporation in Charles City for many years.

He is survived by two sons, Doug of Riceville and John of Des Moines; four grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Horace (Loretta) Holder of Wamego, Kansas; and four brothers, Clifford of St. Ansgar, Charles of Gibbon, Nebraska, Talbert of San Benito, Texas, and Calvin of Wamego, Kansas.
