The funeral of Willard Rosemond Wilkin was held from the home last Sunday afternoon, being in charge of Rev. Rolla E. Brown, pastor of the First
Baptist church. Mrs. Wilkin the widow, was in Flordia at the time of her husband's death and had started for Osage on hearing of the anticipation
that he might not recover. She arrived on Saturday morning.

Mr. Wilkin was born in Wisconsin, May 8, 1860, and died at the hospital in Osage, Dec. 5, 1916. He lived in the state of Wisconsin during boyhood
and sometime in his teens came to Iowa. The greater part of his life was spent in farming or tilling the soil. About eighteen years ago he located
in Osage, where he had his home on south 7th street.

On the 5th day of November, 1906, he was united in marriage to Mary Patterson. To them were born two children, a daughter, Mariam, and a
son Raymond Patterson. The latter died in infancy a little over one year ago. A number of years ago he united with the Baptist church. He was well
known in this city and his sudden death was directly traceable to the fall when thrown from a load of hay a few days preceding.

He leaves, besides the widow and little daughter, a brother, George, in Grangeville, Idaho, and a sister Mrs. Alice Wilcox.
