Karen Kay Wood
Karen Kay Wood, 47, of Kahoka, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at the Keokuk Area Hospital.
Karen was born on March 14, 1962, in Mason City. She grew up and was educated in Mason City. She lived in St. Ansgar, Iowa, for several years before moving to Revere, Missouri, and then to Kahoka, Missouri, with her longtime companion, Merle Zweifel.
She is survived by her parents, Leo and Iola (Ogaard) Wood of Mason City; one son, James Wood of Mason City; four sisters: Leslie (Larry) Knudson of Kansas City, Kansas, Debra (Jack) Digman of Rosemount, Minn., Diane (Mike) Ross of Tucson, Ariz., and Rhonda Genzler of Mason City; and one brother, Ronald Wood of Mason City.
Wilson's Funeral Home in Kahoka, Missouri, performed the cremation.
A graveside service for family and close friends will be held at a later date in Revere.
