At First Lutheran Church Here

Funeral services for Ethel Lee Tribbensee, 84, were held Saturday, October 21, 1987 at the First Lutheran Church here with the Reverend Stephen Engelstad officiating.

Ethel Lee Tribbensee was born September 25, 1905, in Oakland, Illinois to Henry Franklin and Alma (Golden) Nagle. They moved from Illinois to Worth County. She attended school and graduated from Carpenter High School in 1925.

She married Arthur A. Tribbensee July 23, 1927 at Austn, Minnesota. They lived on farms near Grafton, Riceville, Nora Springs and St. Ansgar. To this marriage was born two daughters.

She was a member of the First Lutheran Church and Debra Circle. She enjoyed sporting events of all kinds and enjoyed baking bread for her family and friends.

Ethel is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Mary Ann) Halverson of St. Ansgar; one brother, Roger Nagle, Cedar Falls; three sisters, Evelyn Goedkin, Waterloo, Lucy Larson and Ena Bell of St. Ansgar; two grandsons, Jeffrey and Bryan of Waterloo; three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one daughter, Bonnie; and one brother, Howard.

Burial was in the St. Ansgar [city] Cemetery.
