Ellery [Carl] Kirchgatter Services Are Held At Methodist Church June 1
Funeral services for Ellery Kirchgatter, 76, of St. Ansgar, who died at his home Sunday, May 31, were held Wednesday, June 3, 1987 at the St. Ansgar United Methodist Church with the Reverend William Jenkins officiating.
Mr. Kirchgatter was born December 30, 1910 to Richard and Amanda Bowers Kirchgatter at the farm home in Newburg Township, in Mitchell County.
On June 26, 1937 he married Ethel Fern Heschke. They spent most of their married life farming in the St. Ansgar area. He was a member of the Untied Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Ethel; a son, Richard of Canton, Michigan, a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Violet) Wick of Austin, Minnesota; two brothers, Earl and Karl of St. Ansgar; and a sister Bernice of Rock Falls; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Burial is at St. Ansgar Cemetery.
