Last rites for a former Osage woman, Mrs. Rose Behl, 71, were held Saturday afternoon at Trinity Lutheran Church here. Mrs. Behl died March 5, 1976, in Phoenix, Arizona, as the result of a heart condition.

The Rev. Orval Friederich, interim pastor of Trinity, was in charge of the rites and arrangements were by C.R. Champion and Sons. Burial was in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in St. Ansgar.

Rosalene Groth was born in Otranto township, Mitchell County, February 15, 1905, the daughter of John and Hannah Triechel Groth. She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran by the Rev. Paul Brammer. She grew to womanhood on the family farm, receiving her education in the Otranto school

Paul Behl and Rosalene Groth were united in marriage September 11, 1928. They resided on several farms and later purchased a farm west of Osage, where they made their home until his death in 1950. Mrs. Behl had been an employee of Mitchell County Memorial Hospital for 23 years. She was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church. Mrs. Behl sold her Osage home in September 1975, and retired to Phoenix.

Surviving are her four daughters, Mrs. Paul Morris (Lois) of Fort Madison; Mrs. Alvan Mirvieren (Merna) of Coleman, South Dakota; Mrs. LaVerne Gunderson (Maxine) of Palatine, Illinois; and Mrs. Verlyon Armstrong (Jeanette) of Beldenville, Wisconsin; 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Albert (Minnie) Frese of Osage.

Preceding her in death were her husband, parents, four brothers and four sisters.
