Frances Caroline Rawlings, age 98, of Austin, Minnesota, died Friday, March 17, 2006, at St. Mark's Lutheran Home.
Frances was born July 29, 1907, to Charles and Minnie (Brandt) Blumenrader in Lyle, Minn. She grew up in the Lyle area and graduated from St Ansgar High School in 1929. She married Chester Rawlings in Boise, Idaho, on April 14, 1944. Together they worked at the shipyards in Vancouver, Washington. Frances and Chester owned a trailer court in Florida. Most recently they made their home in Austin. Chester died on March 24, 2002. Frances enjoyed bingo, camping and spending time with friends, and she loved sports.
Survivors include son, Richard Rawlings, East Wenatchee, Wash.; daughter, Sue Bowers, San Diego, Calif.; three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Chester in 2002.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2006, from 1-1:30 p.m. at Worlein Funeral Home. Interment will be at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Toeterville, Iowa. Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is in charge of arrangements.
Burial: Saint Peter Cemetery, Toeterville, Mitchell County, Iowa.
