TOETERVILLE, IOWA — Fred H. Bruggeman, 83, died Monday at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital, Osage. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m at St. Peter's Lutheran Church here. The Rev. William Kamke will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Schroeder & Houg Funeral Home in charge.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederik Bruggeman, he was born in Union Township March 26, 1880, and lived all his life here. He operated a grocery store in Toeterville until 1948 when he sold it to his son. He was married to Ella Geffert and after her death was married to her sister Elsie. They both preceded him in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Elvira, at home; Mrs. Galen (Darlene) Kittleson, in Germany; a son, Frederick, Toeterville; seven grandchildren, a brother, Ed, Toeterville. He was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters.
