William Bigelow dies at 91; Rites in Osage
OSAGE, IOWA -- William Bigelow, 91, died Tuesday at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 P.M. at the Champion Funeral Home here.
Born at Athol, Massachusetts, in 1868, he came to Nora Springs when a young man. He attended Cedar Valley Seminary in Osage and was married to Dora Trowbridge, who died in 1937. He had lived with his children since that time.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. W. E. (Ruth) Pilgrim, Mason City; Mrs. H. C. (Belle) Medinnus, Austin; Mrs. Frank (Olive) Hennessey, Osage; a son, M. L. Bigelow, Austin; 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.
