OSAGE, IOWA — Services for Glen Gast, 71, who died Wednesday at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church of rural Osage. Burial will be in Rock Creek cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Christine; one son, Birney of Osage; one sister Mrs. Robert Tresemer of Sherburn, Minn., and four grandchildren.
Champion Funeral Home, Osage, is in charge of arrangements.

DIED SEPT. 8Funeral services for Glen Gast, 71, who died at the Mitchell County Memorial hospital in Osage, were held at Rock Creek Lutheran Church, rural Osage, Friday. Mr. Gast had been hospitalized for eight weeks.
Rev. D. Berg, chruch pastor, conducted the services, and burial was at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church cemetery. The Champion Funeral Home of Osage, was in charge of the arrangements.
Glen Arthur Gast was born on September 10, 1899, in Mitchell county, Iowa, the son of George and Bertha Roehr Gast. He was baptized at s.t John's Lutheran Church. He attended the public schools of rural Mitchell county.
Mr. Gast farmed and served as a substitute mail carrier for the Nora Springs post office for ever 30 years.
Christine Bahnsen and Glen Gast were married at Rock Creek Lutheran parsonage on November 3, 1921. To this marriage two sons were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Wally, and one brother, Clifford.
Surviving are his wife, Christine; one son, Birney, of rural Osage; one sister, Mrs. Robert Tresemer of Sherburne, Minnesota; and by four grandchildren.
