OSAGE, IOWA -- Services for Olvin Johnson, 75, who died Saturday morning at the Osage Nursing Home were to be held at 1:30 P.M. Monday at the Champion Funeral Home.

Burial to be in Rock Creek Cemetery.

Survived by two brothers, Newell of Osage and Irvin of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Olvin Johnson

Funeral services for Olvin Johnson, 75, who died Friday, December 19, 1969 at the Osage Nursing Home, were held at the Champion Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald L. Berg of Rock Creek Lutheran Church officiating. Burial was in the Rock Creek Lutheran cemetery, and the arrangements were by C.R. Champion and Sons.

Hjalmer Olvin Johnson was born on June 1, 1894 to Hans L. and Carrie Peterson Johnson. He was baptized and confirmed at Rock Creek Lutheran Church. He attended the rural Dudley school and one year at Cedar Valley seminary. He farmed for a short time near Osage and lived in Missouri for several years, also working in other occupations. He had retired several years ago because of ill health.

Surviving are two brothers: Irvin, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and Newell, of Osage, two nieces and one great-niece.

He had been a resident of the Osage Nursing Home nearly two years.
