Vernon Juenger

Vernon S. Juenger, 64, of Stacyville, Iowa, died Monday May 8, 2000, at the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City, Iowa.

Vernon was born on January 6, 1936 in Stacyville the son of Joseph and Ida (Weber) Juenger. He was educated at Visitation Catholic School. Vernon served in the US Army. He worked as a machinist at White Farm in Charles City for 39 years. Vernon enjoyed golf and made a hole in one at the Adams Country Club in Adams. He was also an avid bowler and loved sports in general. Vernon was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, in Stacyville, Iowa.

He is survived by sisters, Gertrude Hommez (Louis) Osage, Iowa, Elizabeth Spitz, Osage, Iowa, Mary Ann (Frank) Lammers, Spring Valley, Barbara Collier, St. James; brothers, Francis (Veronica) Juenger, Stacyville, Virgil Juenger (Louise) Juenger, Stacyville, Danny (Beverly) Juenger, Rochester, Ronald Juenger, Carpenter, Iowa; numerous nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by brothers, Clemence, Raymond, Luke and infant brothers, Paul and Jerome.

· Service: 11 a.m. Thursday, May 11, at the Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville, with the Rev. John Moser officiating.

· Interment: Visitation Catholic Cemetery with Military Honors by the Stacyville American Legion Post 569.

· Visitation: Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Visitation Catholic Church with a Forester's Rosary at 3:30 p.m. and a Scripture Service at 7 p.m.

Champion Funeral Home in Osage is in charge of arrangements.
