ST. ANSGAR, IOWA -- Carl Stromley, 76, a retired farmer, died at his farm home Wednesday afternoon, July 16, 1958. He had been in failing health for some time. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
Funeral services will be on Saturday [July 19, 1958] at 2 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, here; the Rev. Carl Wuerrfel will officiate. Schroeder and Houg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Stromley is survived by his wife and 13 children.

RITES SATURDAYFuneral services for Carl Stromley, 76, retired St. Ansgar farmer who died at his home Wednesday afternoon, July 16, 1958, following a heart attack, were held on Saturday, July 19, 1958 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Carl T. Wuerffel officiating.
Mr. Stromley had been in failing health for some time. He was born on March 31, 1882 in Kensett, iowa, and had farmed most of his life.
Mr. Stromley is survived by his wife and 13 children.
Burial was in the Deer Creek Lutheran cemetery with Rev. Wuerffel in charge of the committal services.

He is the son of Ole and Kari (Fadness) Stromley.Carl married Nettie E. Halverson on Feb. 19, 1919, at First Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar.
His children include: Orville Ole, Loretta, Ruth Louise, Mary Jane, Rose Marie, Inez, Carl Jr., Gladys Mae, Kenneth, Lillian Arlene, Betty Jean, and Victory "Diane".
He was preceded in death by one infant daughter, and one infant son.
