RICEVILLE, IOWA - James Carl Thompson Sr., 84, of Riceville, died Thursday, July 16, 2009, at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Elma, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 20, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Riceville, with Monsignor John Hemann, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Riceville with military honors by Roy Gue Post 244.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 19 at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville, with a rosary at 5:30 p.m. Lindstrom Funeral Home, 641-985-2242.
