ST. ANSGAR, IOWA -- Funeral services for George Rosel Sr., 67, will be held on Wednesday in the St. Ansgar Immanuel Lutheran Church at St. Ansgar.

Mr. Rosel died on Saturday, January 24, 1953, at a Vinton, Iowa, hospital.

George Henry Ernest Rosel was born on April 6, 1885, at St. Ansgar, Iowa, the son of Friedrich Rosel and Augusta Treichel Rosel. He was married to Anna Runge (who was born on Jan. 13, 1890, and died in February 1970).

He was a lifetime Mitchell County resident, with the exception of the past seven months which he spent in the Lutheran Home at Vinton.

Survivors include his children, Mrs. Roy (SaVera)Rosenberg, Mrs. Paul (Esma) Hartwig, Mrs. Gene (Norma) Gerlach, Mrs. Wilmer (Doris) Erdman, all of St. Ansgar, Mrs. Lloyd (Leola) Ruehlow, Lyle, Minnesota, Mrs. Lloyd (Wilma) Kronemann, Plymouth, and George Rosel Jr., and Lawrence Rosel, Rudd. There are 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
