RICEVILLE, IOWA -- Mrs. Elmer Willis, 73, died Saturday night at the Riceville Hospital where she was taken Wednesday after suffering a stroke.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at the Riceville Methodist Church. The body will be in state at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Riceville Cemetery.
Born at Britt, Iowa, on September 27, 1885, Alta Kline was the daughter of Maria and Orin Kline. She was graduated from the Riceville High School and attended Cedar Valley Seminary at Osage. She taught in the rural schools of Mitchell county until her marriage to Elmer Willis at Riceville on October 23, 1905.
Survivors are her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Carl (Merle) Kubicek; two granddaughters, Linda and Carole; and a sister, Mrs. Perna Motley, all of Riceville.
Mrs. Willis was a member of the Methodist Church, and of the Victoria Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.
