Kari Stromley died on May 8, 1931, of a rare blood disease. Interment was in Sunset Rest Cemetery at Northwood, Iowa.
She was born Kari Fadness, on March 8, 1857, in Wisconsin; the daughter of Anders Fadness and Ragnhilde Henriksdatter Fadness. Anders was born on October 20, 1824 at Evanger, Voss, Hordaland county, Norway. Ragnhilde was born in 1821.
Kari was married to Ole Stromley in 1876 and they farmed in Mitchell County. They were the parents of thirteen children: Clara R., Martin A., Andrew, Carl J., Ragnild R., Oscar, Henry, Christian, John Edwin, Ella O., Kaiser, Raymond O. and Jennie M. Stromley.
NOTE: Kari's parents came to America in 1848 aboard the ship Augusta.
