OSAGE, IOWA — Albert Thurnau, 58, of Osage, died on Friday, December 14, at his home, of cancer.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma; three daughters: Rita Howe of Rochester, Minn., Cathie S... [illegible] of Tempe, Arizona, and Dianna Thurnau of Iowa City; a son, Douglas of Osage; three grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Hartwig of Osage and Ruth Rasmussen of Mason City; two brothers, Leslie of Osage and John Jr. of St. Ansgar; and his mother, Christena Thurnau of Osage.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m., Monday at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Osage. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery with military rites conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7920 of Osage. Friends may call after 10 a.m. today at Champion Funeral Home, Osage.
Mr. Thurnau was a construction foreman for L.R. Falk Construction Co. and served in the U.S. Army with the military police.
