Evelyn Elaine (Trout) Schnepper

RICEVILLE, IOWA - Evelyn E. Schnepper, 75, of Riceville died Sunday, June 21, 2009, at the Regional Health Services of Howard County Hospital in Cresco.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, June 24, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Riceville with burial in the church cemetery south of Riceville.

Evelyn Elaine Schnepper was born Dec. 29, 1933, the daughter of Milton and Francis (Koschmeder) Trout. She attended Osage schools until 10th grade and later earned her GED. She worked many years as an aggregate technician for Martin Marietta Co.

On July 19, 1950, she was united in marriage to Robert Schnepper at the St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Riceville.

Evelyn enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and bird watching. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Robert, of Riceville; two children, Sandra Loftin of Chaska, Minn., and Randy (Barbara) Schnepper of Rosemount, Minn.; five grandchildren, Michael (Leanne) Lifka, Dawn Krones (her fiance), Jim Adams), Kenneth Lifka, Erin Schnepper and Richard Schnepper; seven great-grandchildren, Conner Lifka, Caitlin Hanson, Jessica Hanson, Mackenzie Krones, Tara Adams, Alexis Adams and Tristan Clapp; and one sister in-law, Jackie Trout of Osage.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Francis Trout; brother, Milton Eugene Trout; daughter, Merry Eckmann; son in-law, Steven Eckmann; and grandson, Brandon Eckmann.
