Osage, Iowa — Funeral of John Goplerud, 46, who was killed when his truck crashed into a ditch after skidding on ice three miles west of here Saturday morning, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Osage Lutheran Church. The Rev. T. P. Solem will officiate.

Organ Dedication
Sunday at Osage

OSAGE, IOWA — A Wicks organ will be dedicated Sunday at 8 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Osage with a recital by Dr. Mario Salvador, outstanding organist, and presently the choir director of the new St. Louis Cathedral, St. Louis, Missouri. The concert is free and open to all members of the community.

The organ, to be known as the "John Goplerud Memorial Organ," was on display last summer as the recital organ at the National Guild of Organists, Highland Park, Illinois.

John Goplerud, who met death in an automobile accident in 1947, was very much interested in music, and a new church. He began a fund and after his death, his wife, Mildred, and their son, Dean, now in the medical college at University of Iowa, continued the financing of the organ and now are giving it in remembrance of their late husband and father.

Chimes have been added by Mr. and Mrs. Gerhard Goplerud and family.
