OSAGE, IOWA — Funeral services will be at the Osage Lutheran church at 2 p. m. Thursday for Mrs. Elmer Isaacs, 61, of Osage, who died Monday at her home following a five week illness. The Rev. Olaf A. Langehough will officiate in the absence of Rev. Luther Bervan. Burial is to be in the Osage Cemetery.

Cora Horgen Issacs, daughter of Gilbert and Ingeborg Paulsrud Horgen was born September 4, 1892 on a farm northwest of Orchard. She was a lifelong member of Osage Lutheran Church and active in Ladies' Aid and other activities of her church. She attended public schools of Orchard.

Cora was married on February 23, 1916 to Elmer C. Isaacs; the couple spent their married life on the family farm where she spent remaining years of her life.

Five children survive her: Garland of St. Ansgar; Dorothy, now Mrs. Lee Francis Lybarger, Santa Barbara, Calif.; Doris, now Mrs. Glenn Olson of Nora Springs; and Birchard of Grafton; one son, Robert, died in infancy. Surviving besides her husband and children are eight grandchildren, one sister, Amanda, now Mrs. Emil Lincke, Osage; six brothers: Henry, Edwin and Oscar, all of Osage; Melvin, of Charles City; Ingwald, of Wausau Wis., and Clarence, of Appleton,
Wis.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, by her parents, byb one sister, Clara, and by one brother, Gilman.

Found in the 1915 census at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa: Cora Horgen age 22.

Cora ma​rried Elmer Isaacs on February 23, 191​6 at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa.

The couple had 6 children:
Garland Elmer (b December 23, 1917 Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa, d April 1985 Osage, Mitchell, Iowa);
Dorothy May (b February 10, 1921 Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa, d June 2, 1995 Peoria, Maricopa, Arizona (twin to Doris);
Doris Marie (b February 10, 1921 Cedar, Mitchell, IA, (maybe still living 2013);
Robert Lowell (born and died July 1926 Osage, Mitchell, Iowa);
Birchard C (b abt 1927 Osage, Mitchell, Iowa, d November 2, 1982) and
James Lee (b September 24, 1950 Osage, Mitchell, Iowa, died October 12, 1955 Iowa (in a car accident).
