The funeral service for Miss Kate Brachle of New Haven was held at Sacred Heart church, Osage, Monday, March 2, at 8:30 a.m.
She died at the hospital at Independence where she had been a patient for a few months.
Since the death of her parents she, with her sister and brother, had lived on the home farm at New Haven.

Laid to Rest at
New Haven Mon.Miss Katie Brachle, well and favorably known in this community, passed away last Thursday, after months of poor health.
Miss Brachle was born April 12, 1880, and died February 26, 1931. Never very strong physically, she was overcome with the extreme heat last summer and suffered a nervous breakdown. Two days before her death she contracted erysipelas, which caused her sudden death.
She leaves to mourn her passing three sisters, Mrs. May Borland, of Athens, Michigan, Mrs Fred Leevers of Long Beach, California, and Miss Elizabeth, also a brother, Peter. She and the last two named have operated the home farm, between Osage and New Haven since the death of their parents.
Funeral services took place at the Sacred Heart Church Monday morning, conducted by the Reverend Fr. Martin, Osage, assisted by the Reverend Fr. Tibeau, New Haven. "May Her Soul Rest in Peace".
