Dies in Murdo;
Rites at New HavenOSAGE, IOWA — Frank Jahnel, 78, a former resident, died Monday at Murdo, S.D. He was born at Roxbury, Wisconsin, in December 1879, and came with his parents, Mr. and 1898. In 1908 he moved to Murdo where he was engaged as a stock buyer and farmer.
He was a country commissioner many years and also served as a county sheriff. He was married to Louise Campbell in 1941.
Survivors are his wife, four brothers, Henry, Hot Springs, S.D.; and Ed, Herman and Al, all of New Haven; three sisters, Mrs. Mollie Leinenkugel, Sauk City, Wisconsin; Mrs. Mary Jennings, New Haven, and Mrs. L. T. Rodemaker, Boulder, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 9:30 A.M. at St. Peter's Church, New Haven.
