Funeral services were held on Monday, September 19, 1988 at Eden Presbyterian Church, rural Rudd, for Gertrude Moeller, 96, formerly of Rudd, who died Friday, September 16, 1988 at Maple Manor Nursing Home, Osage, Iowa, of natural causes. Burial was in Eden Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Rudd.
She was born on July 24, 1892 near Rudd, the daughter of George and Martha (Kerst) Brandau. She received her education in Rudd schools.
She married John William Moeller on May 7, 1914 and farmed in the Rudd area. Mr. Moeller died in 1942 and she moved to Rudd. She was a life-long member of Eden Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; two sons; one daughter; three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Jean Moeller of Rudd; one granddaughter, Mrs. Francis (Nancy) Janssen of Rudd; and one grandson, Dale Moeller of Severna Park, Maryland.
