Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 18, 1988 at Faith Lutheran Church, Mitchell, for Dorothy Dennis, 74, of Osage. Rev. E. Ellefson officiated, and burial was in the Osage Cemetery. She died on Saturday, october 15, 1988 at Maple Manor, Osage, of natural causes.
Mrs. Dennis was born January 29, 1914 in Mitchell County, Iowa, to Gustav and Anna (Framstad) Anderson. She received her education in Osage schools and graduated from Osage High School in 1933.
On January 22, 1938, she was married to Edward Dennis at Osage. They farmed north of Osage until his death in 1970. She continued to live on the farm until moving to Osage in August of 1988.
Mrs. Dennis was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and Sons of Norway.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Edward.
Survivors include one daughter, Jane Osborn of Aurora, Oregon; one son, Delmar Dennis of Lynchburg, Virginia; one brother, John Anderson of Osage; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
