OSAGE, IOWA - Dean Bublitz, 57, of rural Osage, died suddenly of an apparent heart attack Thursday, April 20, 2000.
He was well-known for operating the Evergreen Game Farm where he raised lamas, buffalo, Canadian geese and a black bear.
· Service: 2 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2000, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Grafton, with the Rev. Wayne Ellingson officiating.
· Visitation: 4-7 p.m. today Sunday, April 23, 2000, at Champion Funeral Home, Osage, Iowa, and one hour before services at the church Monday.
· Interment: Grafton Cemetery.
· Funeral Home: Champion Funeral Home, Osage, Iowa.

DEAN BUBLITZ
GRAFTON - Dean Bublitz, 57, of rural Osage, died suddenly of an apparent heart attack on Thursday (April 20, 2000).
He was born Oct. 11, 1943 on the family farm in Worth County, the son of Harold and Lucille (Wahl) Bublitz. He was baptized and confirmed at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Grafton. In 1962, Dean was a member of the last class to graduate from Carpenter High School.
On June 29, 1979, Dean was united in marriage to Marilyn Anderson in Austin, Minn. He farmed in the Grafton and St. Ansgar areas.
After the death of his father, he continued the Evergreen Game Farm, where he raised and cared for llamas, buffalo, Canada geese and a black bear.
He was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Grafton with the Rev. Wayne Ellingson officiating. Interment will be in the Grafton Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Champion Funeral Home, Osage, and one hour prior to services on Monday at the church.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, of rural Osage; a daughter, Kasey Petznick and her husband, Randy and their children, Samantha and James, of St. Ansgar; four sons, Keith Anderson, of Northwood, Jeff Bublitz and his wife, Lori and their children, Cody and Kari, of St. Ansgar, Leo Bublitz ,at home and Frederick Bublitz, at home; his mother, Lucille Bublitz, of St. Ansgar; a sister, Elaine Huebner and her husband, Kermit, of Grafton; two brothers, Dale Bublitz and his wife, Dorothy, of St. Ansgar and David Bublitz and his wife, Debbie, of Carpenter; a sister-in-law, Laurie Bublitz, of Grafton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; an infant daughter and infant son; and a brother, Darrel Bublitz.
