Delbert Beyer, 69, of New Hampton, died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2001, at his home in New Hampton of natural causes.
Delbert was born July 14, 1931, at Toetervile, Iowa, the son of George and Alfrieda (Hackbart) Beyer. He was a Mitchell High School graduate. After graduating he went to work at Oliver Tractor Works in Charles City, then moved to Victor, Iowa and had a Watkins Route for two years.
On Oct. 10, 1953, he married Dorothy Stanton in Vinton, Iowa. After their marriage the couple resided in Osage, where Delbert worked as a carpenter with his father and also had a dairy delivery route in Osage. The couple then moved to Austin where he also had a dairy delivery route. The couple moved to Charles City where Delbert worked for White Farm Equipment for 28 years. In 1966, the couple moved to New Hampton, where Delbert worked for the City of New Hampton for 12 years.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy of New Hampton; sons, Rand Beyer, Mankato, David (Sharon) Beyer, Waverly, Iowa; daughter, Rhonda (Darrin) Stewart, Elko; five grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Clayton, Mitchell, Iowa, Delores Hucke, Otter Tail, Dallas Heinzerling, Otter Tail; brothers, Donald, Mitchell, Darrell, Osage, Dale, Charles City, Dennis, Fredericksburg, Iowa, Dean, Mitchell, George (John), Mitchell.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, 2001, at Calvary Baptist Church in Charles City with Rev. Steven Brudnak officiating. Edna Reicks will be the pianist and will accompany the soloist, Blanche Hollerud.
Interment: Osage Cemetery
Visitation: 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Conway Funeral Home in New Hampton and also an hour prior to services at the church.

NEW HAMPTON -Delbert Beyer, 69, of New Hampton, died Sunday (Jan. 7, 2001) at his home in New Hampton of natural causes.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at the Calvary Baptist Church in Charles City, with the Rev. Steven Brudnak officiating. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery in Osage, with Steven Hollerud, Jerry Dietrich, Scott Beyer, Terry Anderson, Brenda Kaltenbach and Dee-Dee Sternat serving as casket bearers. Honorary bearers will be Delbert's grandchildren, Jessica Beyer, Joshua Beyer, Colton Beyer, Chase Beyer and Jacob Stewart.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Conway Funeral Home in New Hampton and also an hour prior to services at the Church.
