Denise M. Loden

Denise M. Loden, formerly Denise Roll, age 56, of Osage, died Friday, April 17, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at the Faith Lutheran Church in Mitchell, with Rev. Wayne Ellingson and Irmgard Ellingson, Associate in Ministry, officiating. Burial was at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Mitchell.

Denise was born February 12, 1953, in Osage, the daughter of Robert "John" and Dorothy "Ileen" (Grimm) Mostek. She enjoyed nature, flowers, gardening, animals, camping, fishing, and crossword puzzles. Denise, who had a wonderful sense of humor, was a very loving and generous person. Her life revolved around her family and friends. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren.

Denise is survived by her husband, Michael Loden of Osage; her daughter, Nikki Roll of Osage; her son, Christopher (Lindy) Gerk of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two grandchildren, Tristen and Ashten Gerk; her mother, Ileen Mostek of Osage; two sisters, Colleen Martin and friend Dave Altick of Lead, South Dakota; Mary Mostek of LeRoy, Minnesota; two brothers, Mark Mostek of Mitchell, Michael (Sue) Mostek of Greene; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert "John" Mostek on March 22, 2004; and her cousin, Mindy Meyerhofer.
