Paul Harold Hartwig
ST. ANSGAR, IOWA -- Paul H. Hartwig, 88, of St. Ansgar, died on Friday, Jan. 3, 1997, at the Good Samaritan Center.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Rock
Township, with the Rev. Rose Marie Lewis officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Schroeder and Sites Funeral Home.
Paul H. Hartwig was born Sept. 20, 1908, in Cedar Township, Mitchell County, [the son of Christian Heinrich Hartwig and Wilhelmina Christine Emilie Dieterichs.]
[He married Esma Minnie Ida Rosel on 26 NOV 1931.]
Survivors include his wife, Esma, of St. Ansgar; one daughter, Karen [Karen June, Mrs. Bruce Frederick] Steinberg of St. Ansgar; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
