Ann Viskocil Rolke
OSAGE, IOWA — Ann Viskocil Rolke, age 50, of Greensboro, N.C., passed away after a short but courageous battle with cancer, September 19, 2005.
A memorial service was held at the Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Chapel in Greensboro, N.C.
Ann Rolke was born July 16, 1955, in Osage, Mitchell county, Iowa, to Edward and Mildred (Spaanum) Viskocil. She was a 1973 graduate of Osage High School in Osage, Iowa, and a graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in consumer science. Ann loved working with people and worked many various jobs in human relations.
She was united in marriage to Andy Rolke on August 23, 1980, in Ames, Iowa. She spent the last 11 years working beside her husband in the family business. She was very active in the tennis community and also enjoyed working in her yard. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister and will be missed dearly.
Mrs. Rolke is survived by her husband, W.M. Andy Rolke, of Greensboro, N.C.; a daughter, Laura Rolke; father Edward Viskocil and his wife, Vivian, of Osage; sister, Jane Biddle and husband, Jeff, of Nevada, Iowa; brother, James Viskocil and wife, Cindy, of River Falls, Wis.; four nieces and nephews: Kimberly, John, Jeff, and Justin; and a host of loving extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred, in 1966; grandparents, Sadie and Adolph Spaanum, and John and Victoria Viskocil.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
