Donald Feltz

OSAGE, IOWA — Donald Feltz, 77, of Osage died Wednesday (Sept. 7, 2005) at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center-Hospice Unit in Osage.

Don was born July 10, 1928, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, the son of Joseph and Dora (Woyak) Feltz. He graduated from Stevens Point High School in 1945, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Madison in 1955.

Don was married to Charlotte Nelson on Oct. 15, 1960, at the Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Austin, Minn. He worked for Hormel Foods for 35 years as a livestock buyer, retiring in 1991. Don was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage with the Rev. John Moser officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Osage.

Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. today at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage, where there will be a Knights of Columbus Memorial Service at 6 p.m. and a Scripture service at 7 p.m.

Don is survived by his wife, Charlotte Feltz of Osage; a son, Bradley Feltz and wife, Diane, and their children, Ryan and Bryanna, of Hastings, Minn.; a daughter, Rebecca Steffensen and husband, Corey, and their children, Jack, Anna and Isaac, of Chaska, Minn.; and three siblings, George (Jan) Feltz, Caroline Sadogierski, and Arlene Pelowski, all of Stevens Point, Wis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Dora Feltz; two brothers, Robert and Conrad Feltz; and an infant son.
