Sarah Ford Densmore
Sarah Ford Johnston was born in Guernsey county, Ohio, May 5, 1833. In 1855 she married Mr. Francis Densmore, with whom she came to Mitchell county in 1856. She died at her home near Brownville, Iowa, May 27, 1895, at the ripe age of 62 years and 21 days.
Five years ago last October she was stricken with paralysis, and has since been a very great but patient sufferer. On May 24th came a second stroke which brought death on May 27.
From early life she had been a member of the Presbyterian church, and having been faithful in service to the Great Master, she patiently waited His call to a life on high. She was the mother of three children, all of whom, with her husband, survive her.
Sleep mother, sleep sweetly.
Thy suffering and pain are over.
But thy love and care for us,
We will remember ever.
