OSAGE, IOWA — Marion Edna Rollins Feldt, 96, of Osage died Friday (March 25, 2005) at the Faith Lutheran Home in Osage.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Osage with the Rev. Lance Kittleson of Deer Creek Lutheran Church and the Rev. Roy Ott of Our Savior's Lutheran Church officiating. Inurnment will be at the Carpenter Cemetery.
A gathering of family and friends will follow the memorial service Tuesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
Marion was born to Fred and Helen Rollins on Jan. 31, 1909. She grew up in Waterloo and graduated from West Waterloo High School. She was united in marriage to Lawrence Feldt on Feb.19, 1927, in Waverly. They lived in Waterloo until 1935, when they moved to Mitchell County and operated a grocery store in Carpenter for several years.
Following her husband's death in 1960, Marion was employed at the Farmer's National Bank in Lyle, Minn. until her retirement in 1981. She later moved to the Cedars Apartments in Austin, Minn. for several years and in 1998 she moved to the Evergreen Apartments in Osage. She moved to the Faith Home following a short illness in 2003.
Marion is survived by a daughter, Shirley Funk, and her husband, Lavern, of Osage; four grandsons, Steve (Elizabeth) Funk of San Francisco, Calif., Tracy (Peggy) Funk of Osage, Todd (Heather) Funk of Winona, Minn., and Spencer (Cindy) Funk of Onalaska, Wis.; granddaughter-in-law, Paige Amsler of Wayzata, Minn.; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Sara Ritter, of St. Ansgar.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence; and a sister, Maxine Renk.
