CHARLES CITY, IOWA — MaryLou Thompson, 51, of Charles City, died Friday (Dec. 10, 2004) at Floyd County Memorial Hospital in Charles City.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage with the Rev. Doug Brown officiating. Inurnment will be at Brownville Cemetery in Brownville, Mitchell county, Iowa, at a later date.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Monday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.

OBITUARY: MaryLou (Smith) Thompson, 1953-2004

Funeral services for MaryLou Thompson, age 51, of Charles City, were held Monday, December 13, 2004, at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage with Rev. Doug Brown officiating. Inurnment will be at the Brownville Cemetery in Brownville, Iowa, at a later date.

MaryLou died Friday, Dec. 10, 2004, at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital in Charles City.

MaryLou was born on February 14, 1953, in Albert Lea, Minnesota, the daughter of Erwin and Leona Smith. She was united in marriage to Randy Thompson on August 5, 1988, in Cresco, Iowa.

MaryLou was preceded in death by her father Erwin Smith.

MaryLou is survived by her husband Randy Thompson of Charles City; her mother Leona Smith of Spring Valley, Minn.; her children, Robert (Nancy) Towel of Elkader; Owen (Kimberly) Towel of Guttenberg, Loretta Towel of Klamath Falls, Oregon, and Sara Duke (Matt) of Klamath Falls, Oregon; and 10 grandchildren.

Surviving brothers and sisters are: Doris Rance of Charles City, Robert Smith of Elgin, Minn., Donna Smith of Santa Rosa, Calif., Isabelle Smith of Santa Rosa, Calif., Miles Smith of Spring Valley, Minn., Alice Smith of Austin, Minn., Edith (Jerry) Serafine of Magalia, Calif., Merrill Slafter of Plattsmouth, Neb., Marvin (Jean) Slafter of Mabel, Minn., Jennie (Jerry) Kyseth of Spring Grove, Minn., Sharon (Larry) Walker of Pasadena, Calif.

Arrangments made by Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.
