Elizabeth Jane Deninger

PONTIAC -- Elizabeth Jane Deninger, 74, of Good Samaritan Home, Flanagan, formerly of Pontiac, died at 7 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 16, 2004) at the Good Samaritan Home.

Service: She will be cremated with a graveside inurnment service at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Cemetery, St. Ansgar, Iowa. Fellowship luncheon to follow at First Lutheran Church Parish Hall, St. Ansgar. Pastor Robert Porisch will officiate.

Duffy Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of local arrangements and Schroeder Funeral Home, St. Ansgar, in charge of Iowa arrangements.

Memorials: in lieu of flowers, to Good Samaritan Home, 205 N. Adams, Flanagan, IL 61740, or First Lutheran Church, 311 W. Grove St., Pontiac, IL 61764.

Survivors: husband, Frank Deninger, Pontiac; two sons, Erik T. (Sarah) Wold, Joliet, and Leif T. (Carol) Wold, Tampico; two brothers, Gary (Linda) Klemesrud, Iowa Falls, Iowa, and Richard "Rick" (Terry) Klemesrud, Champlin, Minn.; one sister, Kathleen (Laverne) Kollman, Osage, Iowa; five grandchildren; three stepchildren, Pamela (David) Melvin, Aurora; Frank H. Deninger, Aurora; and Jonathan E. Deninger, Geneva; and one stepgrandchild.

FLANAGAN, ILLINOIS — Elizabeth Jane (Klemesrud) Deninger, 74, of Flanagan, Illinois, died Friday, October 15, 2004, at the Good Samaritan Home in Flanagan.

Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. today at the First Lutheran Cemetery in St. Ansgar, with the Rev. Robert Porisch officiating. Burial will be in the First Lutheran Cemetery in St. Ansgar.

Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home in St. Ansgar is in charge of arrangements. Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, (641) 713-4920.

NOTES: She was born on April 15, 1930, and is buried in the Wold lot at First Lutheran cem.
Her first husband was James Thor Wold, the son of Ferdinand Wold and Anna (Chilson) Wold.
Her second husband was Dr. Frank Deninger who was born October 11, 1927. He died March 7, 2009 and is buried in Pontiac, Illinois at the Southside Cemetery.

Elizabeth Jane Klemesrud was born April 15, 1930, at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa to Kenneth Leland Klemesrud and Nora Beatrice Maakestad, the first of their five children.

She was baptized on June 8, 1930, at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa. Her baptismal sponsors were: Mr. & Mrs. Clarence Klemesrud; Louise Klemesrud and John Maakestad.

After finishing high school in Osage, she furthered her education and became a nurse.

Found in the 1940 census living at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa: Kenneth Klemesrud 31, Nora Klemesrud 31, Elisabeth Klemesrud 9, Marlys Klemesrud 8, Kathleen Klemesrud 6, Grady Sorlie 3.

Elizabeth married James Thor Wold on March 21, 1954 at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa. The couple had 2 sons.

Some time after James' death, she married Dr Frank Deninger. They had no children.

Elizabeth died October 16, 2004 at Flanagan, Livingston, Illinois and was inurned at the First Lutheran Cemetery, St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa.
