ORCHARD, IOWA — Gavin Robert Bollman, infant son of Trent and Melissa (Downing) Bollman, of Orchard, Mitchell county, Iowa, was born Friday (Feb. 20, 2004) and died Thursday (Feb. 26, 2004) at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
A funeral Mass for Gavin Bollman will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charles City. The Rev. Carl Ries, pastor, will celebrate the Mass. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Hauser Funeral Home, 1205 S. Main St. in Charles City, where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue an hour prior to the Mass on Tuesday at the church.
Along with his parents, Gavin is survived by his paternal grandparents, Robert and Maxine Bollman of Osage; maternal grand-parents, William and Mary Downing of Charles City; maternal great-grandparents, Jim and Carol Downing of Charles City; three aunts, Amy (Rod) Hillegas, Mandy (Tracy) Baxter, and Lisa (Andy) Hintgen, all of Charles City; and an uncle, Cass (Josie) Bollman of Pleasant Hill.
He was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandparents, Loyal and Marie Kobernusz, and Lawrence and Helen Bollman; and maternal great-grandparents, Russell and Marie McAloon.
