FANNIE MAUDE KITTLESON -- Mrs. Bud Kittleson

ST. ANSGAR, IOWA — Fannie (Faas) Kittleson, 94, of St. Ansgar, died Friday (Jan. 2, 2004) at the Good Samaritan Center in St. Ansgar.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar, with the Rev. Robert Porisch officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, 207 South School St. in St Ansgar.

Fannie was born on February 13, 1909, in Stacyville, to Georgie and Ermina (Penney) Faas. She attended grade school in Stacyville and graduated from Osage High School.

She married Alton (Bud) Kittleson on June 2, 1931. She worked for McKinley’s in the cabbage and potato fields, St. Ansgar Produce, and Tillie’s Cafe. She liked to work crossword puzzles, play cards, read and embroider. She enjoyed playing with her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

Fannie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Roger and Barbara Wilder, of St. Ansgar; daughter-in-law, Violet Kittleson, of Lake City, Minn.; four granddaughters, Nancy (Randy) Hackenmiller, Linda (Glen) Hatten, Becky (Mike) Dobson, and Sandy (Mike) Miller; three grandsons, Sam (Lisa) Kittleson, Don (Andrea) Kittleson, and Kent Wilder; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alton (Bud) Kittleson in 1984; one sister; two brothers; her son, Alton Kittleson; and one grandson, Kevin Wilder.
